Download Foundation Data Sets
These foundation data sets contain a collection of, mostly, freely available public domain data that we, AWhere, Inc., have organized into spatial databases that can be loaded into AWhere software.
Not all of the data in these data sets is up to date.
Some of the data in these data sets include long term normal climate data, USGS Landcover data, digital elevation models, soils information, agricultural production information and more (not all of the country data sets include all of these data).
These data sets are intended only to get you started with some foundational data for your geographic area of interest; these are not intended to suggest that this is the only type of data that you can use in AWhere.
Note that if you are interested in obtaining only the political boundary map layers for a given country, you should go to our Country Boundaries Data sets download page, accessible from our main Downloads page.
Available AMAP data sets
Those users who are currently running the trial license of AWhere (or who have otherwise not yet purchased an AWhere license) are limited to a total of three (3) AWhere data set downloads. Licensed AWhere users are eligible for unlimited AWhere foundation data set downloads for 1 full year after purchase. After the first year (and each subsequent year), licensed AWhere users must pay to renew their annual software maintenance plan subscription in order to continue their eligibility for access to the AWhere foundation data sets, as well as to AWhere upgrades, updates, and support.
