aWhere Announces Partnership with Precision Ag Company, Spensa Technologies

Broomfield, Colorado – A new agreement between aWhere Inc. and Spensa Technologies will provide weather-agile pest mitigation to fruit tree and row crop farmers internationally, including North America, South America, Europe, Asia and Africa.

Spensa Technologies will leverage aWhere’s location specific weather and agronomic data for two key products: MyTraps and OpenScout. MyTraps collects and manages pest data for fields and orchards and OpenScout application for more efficient and accurate crop scouting practices.

Dr. Chad Aeschliman, Director of Engineering at Spensa Technologies, said, “Weather gives us insight into the biological clock of pests, equipping our customers with the ability to act early and get ahead of problems before they start.  aWhere provides Spensa with quality weather data, helping make our phenology models more reliable and consistent.”

This partnership is an exciting opportunity for aWhere to continue providing weather agile data and UI applications to farm management software companies, and to further its mission to help farmers feed the world amidst increasing weather variability worldwide.

“The importance of localized weather and agronomic information for farmers around the world cannot be understated,” said aWhere CEO and Agricultural Climatologist, John Corbett Ph.D. “We are thrilled to see our Weather aWhere solution used to help farmers in North America mitigate pest risks and see better productivity across their fields.”
