aWhere Team Travels to Senegal for Livestock Innovation Lab Workshop
Jan 02, 2014
aWhere’s Chief Technology Officer, Stewart Collis and Director of Customer Resources, Randy Jeske, are traveling to Senegal to participate in a workshop hosted by Colorado State University's 'Feed the Future' Livestock Innovation Lab. This workshop signifies the kickoff of a joint project to create a training and capacity building module, which will enhance operational decisions through access to agro-meteorological models and daily weather data. The bio-meteorological indices created through the module will offer crucial insight into current conditions, critical for real-time decision making in agriculture.
Throughout the workshop, aWhere will be providing introductory trainings on our software for workshop participants, including about 20 local university students. Additionally, we will be conducting a needs assessment to better identify the models which need to be created to provide the most value from aWhere’s historical, daily, and forecasted weather data.
