Robert Fenwick-Smith
Chairman of the Board, Founder & Manager of Aravaipa Ventures, a Colorado-centric GreenTech Fund In addition to aWhere, Inc., Fenwick-Smith is also Chairman of AXIT AG, Frankenthal, Germany, a leading European SaaS Supply Chain Management Software company, and two U.S. companies: SonicScrubbers LLC and Seth Ellis Chocolatier LLC. He was a Managing Director of Tattle srl, Brescia, Italy, a leader in Imaging Technology in the Industrial Security Sectors. As the President and Chief Executive of Romaco, he was instrumental in leading the growth of the business from its inception to 170 million Euro in sales. Mr. Fenwick-Smith received his BA in Economics from Ecole Des Houtes Etudes Commerciales in Lausanne, Switzerland, and his MBA from the Harvard Business School.
John D. Corbett, PhD.
Co-Founder, President & Chief Executive Officer After graduating with honors at Dartmouth, then earning a Ph.D. from the University of Minnesota, Dr. Corbett spent the next 20 years becoming an expert in geo-spatial tool applications. Working closely with the national and international organizations in the US, Kenya, Africa, Switzerland, and Mexico, John built and managed systems to utilize geo-analytics to increase positive outcomes. Leveraging his expertise with GIS, John identified a major need in the marketplace that became the framework for aWhere’s products. Prior to aWhere, John worked with Syngenta as Head of Global GIS where he managed the business operations of the GIS division for that global corporation.
Jim Franklin
CEO, SendGrid Inc. Jim Franklin is the CEO of SendGrid, Inc., a Foundry-backed infrastructure applications company. Prior to his tenure with SendGrid, Jim was the Vice President of Enterprise Performance Management and the General Manager of the Crystal Ball Global Business Unit of Oracle Corporation. The Crystal Ball Global Business Unit was formed in 2007 through Oracle’s acquisition of Hyperion Solutions formerly known as Decisioneering, Inc. At Hyperion, Mr. Franklin served as VP and General Manager, was the founder of webfamilies.com, and the CFO of Vericept Corporation. Mr. Franklin has been involved with the Rockies Venture Club since 1992 and served as president from 2006-2008. He is a frequent speaker at technology conferences and in academia and serves as an advisor and investor to several technology businesses. Mr. Franklin has passed the CPA exam, is licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania and Colorado and holds a JD/MBA and BBA-Accounting all from the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia.
H. John Oechsle
President and CEO, Swiftpage E H. John Oechsle joined Swiftpage in July 2012 and currently serves as President and Chief Executive Officer. John came to Swiftpage with a 25 year track record of building highly profitable and sustainable revenue growth for emerging companies and established global leaders.
Prior to joining Swiftpage, John served as the Executive Vice President of Strategy and Product for DigitalGlobe. During his tenure, he was instrumental in shaping the future of the company and driving revenue growth through the launch of a number of very successful product lines. Prior to DigitalGlobe, John was the Senior Vice President of Technology and Content as well as Chief Information Officer for IHS Inc. Previously, John was the Chief Information Officer and Vice President of Information Management Worldwide, for Ortho-Clinical Diagnostics, a Johnson & Johnson company, where he was responsible for all technology and e-business. Earlier in his career, John served as the Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer for LandAmerica Financial Group, Inc., and as Director of Global Information Management for Kellogg Company. John holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Computer Science from Rutgers University and is a graduate of the Tuck Executive Program from the Amos Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College.
John is an advocate for technology and education in Colorado and has been an active contributor to the Colorado Technology Association (CTA). John supports OpenWorld Learning, an organization which uses the power of technology and peer teaching to develop leadership and ignite a love of learning among children. John also supports Kidstek, an organization dedicated to making technology accessible to youth. John has been recognized several times for his involvement in the industry. In 2006 and in 2009, John was awarded the Technology Executive of the Year, and the Titan of Technology awards by the CTA. John was also awarded the Bob Newman Award for Outstanding Contribution to the Community by the CTA in 2011.
Stewart N. Collis
Co-Founder, Chief Technology Officer Stewart graduated from the University of New South Wales, Sydney Australia earning a Bachelor of Geomatic Engineering (Honors) and a Master of Engineering Science with focus on Geographic Information Systems and Remote Sensing. Stewart worked at the International Center for Research in Agro-Forestry (ICRAF) in Kenya then Texas A&M University System as an assistant research scientist and software developer focusing on climate and agriculture modeling delivered in easy to use GIS systems. As a co-founder of aWhere, Inc., Stewart’s principle role is managing software development, establishing aWhere’s technology direction, and leading aWhere's engineering team in creating innovative data management and visualization products with an emphasis on solving global development problems.
