aWhere principles travel to Dubai to facilitate an Implements Requirements Workshop for ICRISAT Projects
Dubai, UAE
December 2, 2011
The aWhere executive team facilitated a three-day requirements and system design workshop in Dubai, UAE with key leaders of the TLII, HOPE and N2Africa and representatives from other projects. The institutions represented included ICRISAT, Wageningen University, CIAT, BMGF and IITA. Hosted by Dave Hoisington of ICRISAT with support by Dave Bergvinson and Yilma Kedebe of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, the workshop focused on specific actions to increase the value of Project data for the greater public good. The meeting was arranged by ICRISAT as part of its efforts to explore possibilities and tools to coordinate, monitor, and document the impact of complex, multi-partner projects.
The three-day working session was structured on the aWhere Product Requirements and Design Methodology© which systematically identifies key user roles, their specific information needs, and the data required to support those value points. aWhere and Project personnel will continue to collaborate over the next weeks to complete system design and deployment strategies.
